An important fishing and commercial port, Vigo’s old town features shaded squares and cobbled streets that make for a pleasant wander and exploration, and perhaps some excellent seafood from the menu. The port was first settled by Celts in around 600 BC, and their legacy lingers nicely here, in Galicia’s old legends and in the bagpipes that appear on festive occasions.
