Visitors to this great city have a wealth of pleasures to choose from. Explore the notorious Tower of London and view the Crown Jewels. Visit Windsor Castle or see Westminster Abbey. The choices are fascinating and endless. Dover is also your gateway to Kent's green countryside, dotted with old medieval towns and castles. Day 2 - Jersey (St. Helier) (Tender)

Natural beauty abounds in Jersey, from its pastoral countryside to its spectacular coastline. Quaint historic towns and fragrant lavender fields surround the island's robust capital, St. Helier. The largest and southernmost Channel Island, Jersey possesses a complex history spanning 8,000 years. The Isles' unique location between England and France has made them susceptible to invaders. When William the Conqueror took power in 1066 they passed from French to Anglo-Norman control. They were also the only part of the British Isles to be occupied during the Second World War. Today, Jersey's allegiance is to Britain, though it regulates its own domestic affairs, including taxation. Spend the day exploring medieval castles, visiting a wildlife preserve, or stepping into the past at the "War Tunnels" - fortifications built by the Germans during WWII. Jersey's rich heritage, mild climate and picturesque scenery delight all who grace its shores.

Day 3 - Milford Haven, Wales (Tender)

Nestled in an area affectionately called "Little England beyond Wales," the picturesque town of Milford Haven was founded in the 18th century as a whaling center. It takes its name from the natural harbor of Milford Haven, which was used for several hundred years as a staging point on sea journeys to Ireland and as a shelter by Vikings. Today, 14,000 people call Milford Haven home, but those numbers increase in the summertime as the beautiful beaches nearby and the pleasant climate make it an ideal retreat. Cafés, boutiques, galleries and museums fill this little city with local color and a lively atmosphere. Although the largest town in the area of Pembrokeshire has much to offer, Milford Haven is also a gateway to all that Wales has to offer. From here, discover the glorious monastic settlement of St. David, the patron saint of Wales. Explore Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, one of the smallest national parks of Britain, for picture-postcard views of coastal scenery, then delight in the charming medieval town of Tenby and visit Pembroke Castle, the oldest in western Wales.

Day 4 - Dublin, Ireland

Dublin has experienced a renaissance. Today, this gracious and cosmopolitan city on the Liffey is one of Europe's premier destinations. The capital of the Republic of Ireland, Dublin is an intimate place that is easy to explore. Stroll past St. Stephen's Green or survey the gray, stone façades of Trinity College, Ireland's oldest university. The city is also remarkably well-preserved - every June 16, scholars retrace the paths of James Joyce's characters in the novel "Ulysses," set in Dublin on June 16, 1904. Dublin possesses a storied history. A settlement has existed on the banks of the River Liffey for at least a millennium and a half. Succeeding waves of Gaelic, Viking, Norman and English invaders have left their mark on the city.

Day 6 - Invergordon, Scotland

In 1933, an enterprising editor in Inverness enlivened a slow news week with the story of an odd sighting in Loch Ness. The legend grew overnight - and today individuals still scan the dark waters of the Loch for a sight of Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster. Legend goes back as far as the 6th century and insists that the celebrated Loch Ness Monster inhabits a cave beneath the picturesque ruins of Urquhart Castle. Welcome to Invergordon, your gateway to Loch Ness and that area of the Highlands known as the "Great Glen."

Nestled between the Highlands and the Border Hills, Edinburgh is a gracious city noted for its superb skyline, its impressive collection of architecture and its beautiful parks. In the elegant New Town, the streets are lined with graceful Georgian buildings, many designed by the great architect Robert Adam. The International Festival has been one of the premier European cultural events for over half a century. Among those who have called the city home are the writers Robert Burns, James Boswell, and Sir Walter Scott and the philosophers Adam Smith and David Hume.
